The Kentucky Derby is the big hometown event for me every year. For those who don't know, it's a 2 minute horse race that we celebrate for two weeks in April. The celebration starts with a huge fireworks show called "Thunder Over Louisville," and ends with the titular race on the first Saturday in May. One of the collectables that I tend to enjoy seeing are the Lapel/Hat Pins that are made every year to help fund the free events.
